Create Email Autoresponders, Filters and Forwarders Using Webmail Interface

You may manage your mail in the following ways using Roundcube:

  • Autoresponders: Autoresponders are used to automate automatic email responses. You may need automated responses if you, for example, want to automatically acknowledge that an email has been received, or if you are going away on vacation, and want to let people who email you know.

  • Email Filters: Email filters help you perform certain actions on your email based on rules which you set. For example, you might want to move an email from a certain address, or having a subject that contains a certain word, into a certain folder, the moment it arrives in your inbox, or you might want to automatically delete the email.

  • Forwarders: Forwarders are used to forward a copy of incoming email to any other email address. You may forward your mail to as many other email addresses as you need.

To start managing your mail follow the following steps.

  1. Log in to your webmail account by opening the webmail URL given to you by the system administrator in your web browser.

    1. Read to learn about logging into webmail.

    2. Example URL: www.example.com/webmail (Replace example.com with your domain)

  2. If you are NOT in your Inbox (You are at the Webmail Home). See fig 1 below to identify the links to start managing your Inbox by creating Autoresponders, Email Filters and forwarders.

  3. If you are IN your Inbox. Click Webmail Home (See Fig 2 below) which directs you to step 2 above.
